what is fermentation?


Fermentation:

fermentation is a chemical process where the glucose is broke down into simpler substances by the 

anaerobic process. the microorganisms such as yeast and bacteria play a major role in this process... 

the fermentation involves in creating more food products like wine,beer, yogurt, cheese and many other

 products. Not all the products which are produced by fermentation are alcoholic.


The different types of fermenters which are used in traditional method, small scale and large scale are:

TRADITIONAL method of fermentation mostly they used wooden barrels in many industries , still now 

this method is used in many parts of the world.

SMALL SCALE method of fermentation is mostly used in laboratories. the fermentors which are 

used in lab are made of glass.

LARGE SCALE method of fermentation is mostly used in commercial scale . large tanks which are use in industries . these 

fermentors are mostly made up of stainless steel since they are used for commercial purpose.
