this method of food preservation can be done in various methods:
1. canning
2.retorting
3.heating
4.freezing
5.pasteurization
6.pickling,salting and many more techniques.
these techniques will sure help in many ways to prevent the food getting damages.
in olden days the food was preserved by using the salting method. the main thing for doing all these methods is for some of the reasond listed below:
1.to get products during off-seasonal time.
2.to protect the product when taking to long distsnces.
3.to prevent from damaging of the product over a long time.
4.to prevent the product from microbial attack.
5. Also prevent the food materials from the attack of rodents and pest.
also these methods are the main task for the food technologists..
