what is the correct order of arranging things in a refrigerator? why is it done so..?
reasons behind it .. so in this answer let us know about the arrangement of the refrigerator and how to
arrange things in correct order in the shelves of a refrigerator aka fridge.
the arrangement of the shelves in refrigerator is done because of the condition of the items kept in it.
some items are more susceptible to the microbial attack but some or not.
the temperature difference that happens in them . some of the items that can be kept under a mild cooling
temperature. some of the things that can be kept under the extremely chilled condition.
THE ARRANGEMENT OF THE SHELVES:
The Freezer: the freezer is the extreme chilled space in a refrigerator. the freezer is a place where
ice-creams, frozen foods like meat, fish etc.. are kept . the temperature in a freezer is nearly -14 to -18
degree celcius (normally-21degree celcius). the deep frozen products temperature is nearly -18 degree
celcius. the ice-creams can be stored at a temperature of -18 and-14 degree celcius. other than frozen
meat and fish products the normal meat and fish can be stored at 0 to 2 degree celcius. these things are
particularly stored in such a temperature is due to some bacteria which can attack them for example the
staphylococcus aureus bacteria attack fish and meat products. vibrio attacks especially the seafood.
The Milk tray ( the shelf beneath the freezer): the shelf that is below the freezer is only for storing
milk and milk related products this is due to the temperature at which the milk is not attacked by the
microbes. the milk is usually kept in the temperature of 0 to 5 degree celcius. some pasteuries and cake
products can also be stored there.(if needed).
The third shelf : usually the shelf which is below the milk tray which has somewhat large
space is used to store some cheese, fruit juices, soft drinks, wine , cheese etc.. since all these items
which can be stored a temperature of 3-8 degree celcius. even the canned foods . no need to keep
canned food in refrigerator.
The Last shelf: everyone knows this famous shelf is mainly used for the storage of veggies and fruits
because they are more easy to fit to these temperature. if they are stored in other spaces they can cause

the fruits and vegetables are mostly kept under the temperature of 3 to 7 degree celcius approximately.
the green leafy vegetables are stored at 2 degree celcius.
THE TEMPERATURE TABLE: ( approx.)
- lemon-14 degree celcius
- apple - 2 to 3 degree celcius.
- banana- 12 to 13 degree celcius.
- mango- 10 to 13 degree celcius.
- meat products- 0 to 1 degree celcius.
- dairy products- 0 to 5 degree celcius.
