Introduction:

Food technology is an upcoming technology-related course that is a part of the life science stream and a branch of chemical engineering. In these four years of your degree, you will be able to find out what is your exact work as a food technologist. 

Food technology is a study that mainly depends on food preservation, food processing, food packaging, etc…. nowadays one of the growing industries is the food industry.it has various job opportunities in the public as well as private sectors. None can live without food.  

how can it be possible to waste it or add chemicals to it???? These questions can only be solved by the food technicians. I suppose a vegetable or a fruit is wasted then it can be converted into alternate kinds of stuff such as sauce (if tomato gets wasted), mango juice, jam, jelly, etc.. can be made if mango faces a great loss. to make a mango available during the off-season the fruit’s pulp can be extracted. 

The main thing to be noted is to preserve the products from the microorganisms for their future use. This will also be taught to the food technology students. How to handle a food product and how to identify whether food is adulterated?? All these are studied by them.
